This is an exciting opportunity for a sous chef who enjoys a challenge. The head Chef of a recently taken over country house hotel, located in Somerset, is seeking a Sous Chef who can assist to push forward the already high standards currently offered. The head chef has a blank canvas to develop the catering department, produce will be grown in the kitchen gardens and this will be combined with locally sourced fresh seasonal ingredients to create the menus. The kitchen is a good size and as Sous chef you you will be assisting to lead a brigade of 7 Chefs taking control in the head chefs absence, so good leadership skills are also required.
This role would suit an experienced Sous Chef looking for a new challenge in their career. This position would be ideal for a chef who has a proven track record of working in a fresh food hotel for a minimum of three years. Excellent knowledge of current kitchen regulations is also essential for this role.
