A privately owned country pub and restaurant, located in Wiltshire, is seeking a dynamic Sous Chef to assist in the running of the kitchen with menus featuring traditional pub classics, some with a modern twist. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven Sous Chef to work alongside the Head Chef creating menus that will keep the venue popular with locals and visitors to the area. As Sous Chef you will be expected to bring your enthusiasm to the role and ensure that the junior members of the team are trained to the standards required and that service runs smoothly especially during busy periods.
An experienced Sous Chef who has a proven track record in fresh food pubs or restaurants is required for this role. Excellent all round knowledge of the kitchen and creative ideas for dishes for the menus is an advantage for this role. All chefs should have good organisational skills and able to have the kitchen fully prepped for busy service times in order to ensure that the department runs smoothly.
