The head Chef of this well run country house hotel, located in Rutland, is seeking a Sous Chef who can maintain the high standard of simple fresh food menus currently offered. The hotel offers breakfast lunches and dinner in the restaurant, afternoon teas, Sunday lunches, has a thriving banqueting and conferencing department and is a popular wedding venue. The kitchen is a good size and as Sous chef you you will be assisting to lead a brigade of Chefs taking control in the head chefs absence, so good leadership skills are also required. Assisting to create menus and complete all necessary paperwork to ensure the kitchen is performing financially is also a key part of this role.
This role would suit an experienced Sous Chef looking for a new challenge in their career. This position would be ideal for a chef who has a proven track record of working in a fresh food hotel for a minimum of three years. Excellent knowledge of current kitchen regulations is also essential for this role.
