Sous Chef – CG2145 Full Time Permanent

The owners of a popular traditional pub with rooms which has a busy dining operation are recruiting for a Sous Chef to join the solid team of chefs working in the kitchen. The venue offers diners a lunch and dinner menu which feature dishes prepared from local produce whenever possible and are changed regularly to reflect the seasons along with a specials board. In this Sous Chef role you will be working within a small team of up to 4 chefs which means that you will be required to work around the sections in the kitchen whilst also running service when the Head Chef isn’t there. The pub is located in spectacular countryside which is a busy tourist attraction especially during the summer season.

Requirements:

A Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef who has been working in a similar fresh food pub or restaurant where you gained all round cooking skills is needed for this role. It is important that you can work well in a small team of chefs, bringing strong cooking abilities but also the creativity needed to design new dishes and leadership skills necessary for running service.
