A great Sous Chef position is available at a fantastic hotel that can offer you great benefits and plenty of room for growth. In this role of Sous Chef you will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure that the high food standards the property is known for are consistently achieved by the rest of the kitchen team. The hotel offers multi-AA Rosette standard dining in the restaurant which has modern British menus that the kitchen has full autonomy to create. The property is also a popular venue for high end functions, corporate events and weddings which you will also be catering for. As Sous Chef you will also be expected to take full charge of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef including taking on the responsibility of all the paperwork and ensuring that the departments finances are under control.
A Junior Sous Chef who feels that they are ready to step up into a Sous Chef position would be an excellent candidate for this position. It is essential that you have a two AA Rosette background but also have plenty of banqueting experience from your previous roles. All chefs should have strengths on all sections as well as being a confident team leader with good kitchen management knowledge and a talent for creating new, inventive dishes.
