A hotel with a small number of bedrooms which is a popular dining venue for guests, locals and visitors to the area is seeking an ambitious Head Chef to push the standards forward. Food is offered in the bar area as well as the 60 cover restaurant which offers great pub classics plus some interesting alternatives which change regularly. The traditional roasts that are served on Sunday boasts 4 meat choices and a vegetarian alternative. The property is also popular for weddings and corporate events so this role of Head Chef is very varied and will require you to ensure the team are organised and work to the high standards during busy service periods. In this role of Head Chef you will be responsible for all areas of kitchen management including paperwork; implementation of hygiene legislation; financial performance; ordering and stock management.
This role would suit an ambitious and experienced Head Chef who has been working in fresh food kitchens most recently with a busy banqueting and conference department. The ability to cook to high standards whilst also supervising others in a busy kitchen environment is essential, and a drive to push standards forward.
