A private school is recruiting for an Assistant Chef Manager to help the Chef Manager oversee the catering provision for the boarding pupils. In this role you will be in a hands-on role providing breakfasts, lunches and suppers for 250 pupils per day during term time though there are some full time pupils. You will need to be able to work within set budgets and have a good health and safety knowledge but also be up to date with current food trends so that you can bring menu ideas to the table.
Requirements:
An Assistant Chef Manager or Sous Chef who has worked in a similar environment where you were cooking all dishes from mainly fresh ingredients. It is essential that you have an enhanced DBS and all relevant food safety and allergen training certificates. The role needs a strong hands on chef, with excellent communication skills to liaise with the Chef Manager.
