A very busy and popular restaurant is recruiting for a Sous Chef to join the team of six chefs in the kitchen. This role of Sous Chef will focus on maintaining the standards of cooking that are expected by its regular customers and is also a destination venue. The restaurant is very busy, operates a banquet style service offering a table d’hote menu and uses fresh ingredients. As Sous Chef you will be required to run the kitchen on the Head Chefs days off ensuring that the staff are organised and prepared for busy service at all times whilst also assisting with the stock control, budget management, processing online orders and having an input on the menu design. 32 hours a week from Thursdays to Sundays.
Requirements:
A strong Junior Sous ready to step up or an experienced Sous Chef is required to take on this role. It is essential that all chefs applying for this role have a minimum of 5 years experience working in all fresh food establishments. A talented chef who is also a confident team leader with good kitchen management knowledge with plenty of experience running service is needed to take on the role.
