The owner of a busy village pub located near Huddersfield is seeking a Sous Chef to assist in the day to day running of the kitchen at the property. The pub offers dining from Wednesdays to Sundays serving Modern British gastro pub style dishes that are created with fresh ingredients. The pub has a good reputation in the area and as Sous Chef you will be expected to ensure that this reputation is maintained whilst also helping to build new business. Being a busy property with a small team of chefs this role is very ‘hands on’ and you will be covering for the head chef in their absence.
This would be an ideal role for a Sous Chef who has been working in respected volume fresh food pubs and who has had rosette training. The ability to work well under pressure when leading a team, knowledge of all sections in the kitchen, able to complete kitchen paperwork and order stock.
