The private owners of a coaching Inn with 24 bedrooms and a busy restaurant and bar, which is situated in a picturesque village of Ripley, is seeking Sous Chef. This Inn is a destination for many day visitors, residents and those attending weddings or events. This role will allow you to have an influence when menus are designed featuring the use of seasonal, local, and home sourced ingredients. You will be support the head chef to manage a team of 6 chefs to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction are achieved. Alongside the daily food service you will also help to design and develop special events to raise the profile of the Inn. Naturally you will support the Head Chef to control and maximising revenue, develop the kitchen brigade, and to maintain high standards of health and safety and food safety.
This role would suit an ambitious Sous Chef or an experienced Senior Chef de Partie who has been working in fresh food kitchens most recently with a busy banqueting and conference department. The ability to cook to high standards whilst also supervising others in a busy kitchen environment is essential, and a drive to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
