A privately owned stunning country house hotel is seeking a Sous Chef who can assist the Head Chef to enhance the already high standards of the premises. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and enthusiastic Sous Chef with menus in the restaurant featuring a wide selection of modern British food. The hotel also boasts function rooms that can serve 100 plus covers, and is planning to invest in wedding marquees. All food is made with fresh seasonal produce sourced locally where possible. As Sous chef you will be assisting to lead a brigade of 5 Chefs so good leadership skills are required. Assisting to complete all necessary paperwork, ensuring the kitchen is performing financially and input on menu development is also a key part of this role.
This role would suit a Sous chef, with a minimum 2 years experience at this level, looking for a new challenge in their career. Previous experience of working in a banqueting kitchen would be beneficial for this role. Excellent knowledge of current kitchen regulations is also essential for this role.
