The Owner of a successful Catering Events Company is seeking a Sous Chef. In this role of sous chef you will assist with managing the team of chefs from the front ensuring high standards are maintained. The company has been running for over 25 years and is growing due to its excellent reputation which has been built up through word of mouth. You will be catering for weddings, along with private and corporate events, with the busiest periods being between April to December. Every menu is tailor made to meet customer requirements, dishes are prepared using fresh seasonal produce locally sourced as much as possible. You will work longer hours during the busy season but this will be offset by shorter hours during the quiet periods, so a flexible approach is required.
Requirements:
A Sous Chef who has a stable background and has been working for a minimum of 2 years at this level, with experience in busy events or banqueting venues. A Sous Chef who has the management skills needed to run a busy operation, works well under pressure, and can work to tight deadlines is ideal for this role.
It is essential that all applicants have access to their own transport.
