The Head Chef of a popular, fresh food pub is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join the team of five chefs working in the kitchen of the property. This is a high volume dining operation with the capacity to seat 60+ covers creating menus that feature upmarket gastro pub style dishes. As a result this role of Sous Chef will offer you the opportunity to create a wide variety of dishes from fresh, seasonal ingredients and assist the Head Chef with the running of the kitchen, overseeing the sections to ensure the junior chefs are fully prepared for service.
A minimum of 2 years previous experience working as a Sous Chef in a quality, all fresh food pub/restaurant, preferably with rosette experience is needed to take on this role. It is important that you are capable of working to the fast pace in the kitchen whilst ensuring that you maintain the high standards of cooking the pub is known for.
