The position of a Sous Chef to help prepare and cook award winning food for a country Inn situated in a the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. As Sous Chef you will assist in overseeing the food and kitchen operations for the restaurant and will inspire the kitchen and service teams with a culture that delivers excellent guest experience. An input into the menu development is an essential part of this role, the food served sits at one AA rosette standard consisting of fine dining, classic pub food and Sunday lunches. Having a key eye for local and current food trends will be an integral part of this role. You will support the Head Chef to create original and great tasting seasonal menus using fresh local suppliers along with regular changing special.
An ambitious, enthusiastic, experienced Sous chef with a proven track record working in a high quality fresh food pub. it is essential that you have a thorough understanding and passion for fresh food and flavours. Must have an understanding of costs and charges relating to food operations and be able to motivate the kitchen team to deliver a consistently high standard of food.
Due to the location of this property it is essential that applicants have access to their own transport.
