A Sous Chef role is available at a vibrant, Modern, Tapas Style Bar located in East Yorkshire.
A privately owned bar and restaurant is seeking a dynamic Sous Chef to assist in the kitchen of an upscale bar with menus featuring small plates, pizzas and a grill selection. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven Sous Chef to work alongside the Head Chef producing funky artisan dishes that will showcase the venue and keep it popular with locals and visitors to the area. As Sous Chef you will be expected to bring your enthusiasm to the role and ensure that the junior members of the team are trained to the standards required and that service runs smoothly especially during busy periods.
An experienced Sous Chef who has a proven track record in restaurants with European style menus, working in fresh food kitchens and with pizza making skills is required for this role. Excellent all round knowledge of all sections in the kitchen and an up to date awareness of current cooking trends is an advantage for this role. All chefs should have good organisational skills and able to have the kitchen fully prepped for busy service times in order to ensure that the department runs smoothly.
