This is an exciting opportunity for an Sous Chef who is looking for a diverse and fast-paced role. The role is to assist senior chefs of a an established venue management and event catering company, based at one of their sites in Bury St Edmunds. The business is based around customers and clients needs and so evening and weekend working will be part of this role. The company offers a variety of catering styles and are renowned for great passion and for quality food and service. As Sous Chef you will be expected to lead the team of chefs to exceed standards across, including all operational, financial and food safety management targets and systems. This company is part of a global catering division so there is excellent opportunity for training and career progression.
Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years experience at a senior level within a fast paced multi outlet hotel and fine dining. A strong leader, excellent organisational and practical skills, being IT literate, the ability to deal with conflicts, a strong communicator, and sound knowledge of financial implications are all qualities required for this position.
