A luxury boutique Coastal hotel with a relaxed atmosphere, and an excellent reputation is seeking a Sous Chef to join the team of chefs in the kitchen. In this role of Sous Chef you will not only prepare dishes for the seafood and grill restaurant at the property, but you will also have the opportunity to move around the different sections of the kitchen. The hotel also caters for private dining has a number of different rooms for this purpose and is also a popular venue for afternoon teas. The Head Chef has some autonomy to create their own menus with the restaurant gaining accolades for the dishes based on classic cooking but prepared with modern twists whilst letting the excellent ingredients be the star attraction. As Sous Chef you will support the head chef to manage the running of the kitchen and manage the kitchen in his absence.
A very strong Senior junior sous chef or a Sous Chef who have good experience working in high quality, fresh food kitchens. The ability to take control of the kitchen is essential for this role as you will be expected to manage it on a daily basis whilst supporting the head chef.
