A Sous Chef position is available at a four star boutique country house hotel which is a busy dining venue with a fine dining multi award winning restaurant serving fresh, modern British dishes. The fine dining restaurant offers seasonally changing dishes prepared from home grown and locally sourced products and also offers guests a tasting menu. The hotel also has a more relaxed dining menu in the bar and hosts private events, weddings and conference. As a result this Sous Chef role will require you to adapt to a number of different cooking styles whilst supporting the Head Chef with the day to day management of the kitchen and the supervision of the two other chefs in the kitchen.
CVs will be considered from strong Junior Sous or Sous Chefs, but is important that they highlight experience working in busy kitchens serving multiple dining operations for a minimum of 2 years and ideally with 2 Rosette experience. A chef who can remain calm under pressure whilst working within a small team in a fresh food focused kitchen would be ideal.
Due to the location of this hotel it is essential that all applicants have access to their own transport.
