A position for a highly motivated Sous Chef to work closely with the Head chef in the kitchens of a 5 red star country hotel located near Crawley is available. The hotel offers a range of busy dining operation and it is essential that the exceptionally high standards are maintained at all times. The hotel offers 2 rosette acclaimed restaurants serving fresh food dishes, a more informal restaurant with outdoor seating and a bar lounge serving very popular afternoon teas and lite bites. In this role you will be assisting the head chef who is responsible for the 65 cover 2 rosette restaurant at the property. This is an excellent property and as sous chef you will be assisting to lead a brigade of Chefs whilst remaining hands on when service requires. It is important that the current standards of food served are maintained and pushed to the next level to ensure the popularity of the venue is continued.
This role would suit a very strong Junior Sous Chef seeking their first Sous Chef role or a Sous Chef looking for a new challenge in their career. This position would be ideal for a chef who has a proven track record of working in a high volume fresh food operation, to a minimum of 2 Rosette standard. Excellent knowledge of current kitchen regulations is also essential for this role.
