The position of Sous Chef is available at a beautiful hotel situated in stunning grounds in the countryside of Hampshire. As Sous Chef you will assist in overseeing the food operation for the property and will inspire the kitchen and service teams to deliver an excellent guest experience. The food served in the restaurant and the various smaller, intimate areas is 2AA rosette standard with the dishes prepared changing regularly with the seasons, using the finest ingredients found local. Having a key eye for current food trends will be an integral part of this role. You will support the Head Chef to create original and great tasting menus using local suppliers.
An ambitious, enthusiastic, experienced Sous chef with a proven track record working in a high quality fresh food restaurant or pub which has achieved rosettes for its dishes is ideal for this role. It is essential that you have a thorough understanding and passion for fresh food and flavours. A good understanding of costs and charges relating to food operations and the ability to motivate the kitchen team to deliver a consistently high standard of food is required for this role.
