A popular country inn which has a busy dining operation is recruiting for a Sous Chef to join the senior team of chefs working in the kitchen of the property. The venue offers diners the choice of the ‘a la carte’ menu, TDH menu or the grill menu all of which feature dishes prepared from local produce whenever possible and they change the selection of dishes regularly to reflect the seasons. In this Sous Chef role you will be working within a small team of up to 4 chefs which means that you will be required to work around the sections in the kitchen whilst also running service when the Head Chef isn’t there.
A Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef who has been working in a similar fresh food pub or restaurant where you gained all round cooking skills is needed for this role. It is important that you can work well in a small team of chefs, bringing strong cooking abilities but also the creativity needed to design new dishes and leadership skills necessary for running service.
