The owners of a very popular city café bistro are seeking a Sous Chef to join the steady brigade of 6 chefs in the kitchen. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a great business where you will be looked after and offers a great work life balance. As Sous chef you will assist to create seasonally changing menus with the focus on using high end locally sourced fresh food. You will be working 4 straight shifts and 1 split shift over a 45 hour week. The property offers brunch, light lunches, afternoon teas and some modern bistro evenings.
An experienced Sous Chef who has previous experience of fresh food restaurants or pubs resulting in an excellent all round knowledge of the kitchen and an up to date awareness of current cooking trends is required for this role. You must be able to demonstrate that you can cope with pressure and able to deliver consistent quality food.
