A Sous Chef is required to join the kitchen team at an exclusive and historical country house hotel. In this role of Sous Chef you will be assisting the head chef to oversee food preparation for a variety of outlets. These outlets include the fresh seasonally changing menus of the multi award winning restaurant and also the busy throughout the year weddings, functions, afternoon teas and Sunday lunches. The Head Chef needs a Sous Chef with strong all round cooking skills who can move around the sections but also assist with the supervision of the CDPs and Commis as well as stepping up to cover Head Chef when required.
An existing Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef who has experience working in a busy hotel kitchen with fine dining experience is needed to take on this role. It is important that you can adapt to different cooking styles with previous experience of banqueting for large numbers. A confident chef who is capable of organising a large team in the kitchen and can support the Head chef is required for this role.
Due to the location of this hotel it is essential that all applicants have access to their own transport.
