A traditional country village pub is seeking a Sous Chef to take on this opportunity to shine in the role and ensure that current high standards and reputation are retained. This is a very busy local pub with a fast paced kitchen serving between 300 to 500 covers per day The food is made with fresh ingredients that are sourced locally where possible. As well as traditional pub classics like popular steak and ale pie or fish and chips as Sous Chef you will have the opportunity to designed more refined dishes. Alongside the menu planning and staff training you will also be assisting in the ordering, paperwork and GP.
Requirements:
A Sous Chef or experienced senior chef de partie who has been working in a similar fresh food pub environment where you were cooking dishes using fresh ingredients., for a minimum of 2 years. The role needs a chef who has a mature approach to training in the kitchen in order to get the best out of the team. All chefs should have knowledge of current hygiene legislation with experience of ensuring it is followed at all times.
