The General Manager of this well run modern corporate hotel, located near East Midlands Airport, is seeking a Sous Chef who can maintain the high standard of spec menus currently offered. The hotel offers breakfast lunches and evening meals in the restaurant, and also provides bar and lounge food. separate refurbished brasserie that offers quality fresh food dishes. There is also a busy banqueting department catering for conferences, meetings, parties and weddings. The kitchen is a good size and as Sous chef you will be assisting the head chef to lead a brigade of Chefs so good leadership skills are also required. Completing all necessary paperwork and ensuring the kitchen is performing financially is also a key part of this role.
This role would suit a strong Sous Chef looking for a new challenge in their career. This position would be ideal for a chef who has a proven track record of working in a fresh food branded operation with a busy banqueting department for a minimum of 2 years. Sound knowledge of current kitchen regulations, and you can demonstrate the ability to consistently meet GP, is essential for this position.
