Exciting opportunity for a Sous chef to assist to support the team of 8 chefs at a country house hotel in Leicestershire that offers high quality, award winning dining in its modern British restaurant. The restaurant serves an average of 20-30 covers midweek followed by 40-50 covers at the weekend as well as offering an afternoon tea service. There is also a busy banqueting and conference department and this hotel is a popular wedding venue. As a result this Sous Chef role will require you to adapt to a number of different cooking styles whilst supporting the Head Chef with the day to day management of the kitchen and the supervision of the team of chefs in the kitchen.
CVs will be considered from Sous Chefs, it is important that they highlight experience working in busy kitchens serving multiple dining operations for a minimum of 2 years and ideally with a minimum of 2 Rosette experience. A sous chef who has the drive and ability to be responsible for junior staff development and ensuring high levels of food standards are achieved, and are able to take control in the absence of the Head Chef.
