This high quality pub with rooms is seeking a Sous Chef to join the team of four chefs in the kitchen. In this role of Sous Chef you will be preparing dishes for the restaurant at the property which is open from 8am for breakfast and throughout the rest of the day. The Head Chef creates menus featuring pub classics using all fresh ingredients and will look to the Sous Chef to have input. This is an excellent opportunity to learn new skills whilst taking control of the kitchen during the Head Chefs days off. As Sous Chef you will be responsible for helping the junior members of the team to ensure the sections are organised for the busy service times.
A very strong Chef de Partie or a Sous Chef who has good experience working in high quality, fresh food kitchens will be ideal for this role. The ability to take control of all sections in the kitchen and assist the Head Chef lead the team, being a positive role model to the junior chefs.
