Sous Chef – CG2217 Full Time Permanent

The Head Chef of this fantastic popular bar with restaurant and function room, is seeking a Sous Chef who can assist with the running of the busy kitchen. As Sous Chef you will also be expected to work closely with the Head Chef to ensure that the kitchen runs smoothly and that the brigade of 12 chefs are aware of their roles as well as training them to progress their knowledge. You will be able to have input into the menus which are regularly changing. This bar restaurant is located in the heart of the lake district, not in a rural setting, and gets extremely busy during the holiday seasons.

Requirements:

All chefs applying for this position must have all round cooking skills gained at a busy fresh food gastro pub or similar. This is a busy kitchen so it is important that you have a calm nature and are able to work well under pressure. It is an excellent opportunity to learn and progress and would suit an established Sous Chef seeking a new challenge or a very experienced junior sous looking for promotion.
