The owners of a town pub that has a bar and restaurant is seeking a Sous Chef for an immediate start, who can use their experience in the kitchen. The pub which is situated in a beautiful part of the country, prides its self on providing seasonally changing locally sourced fresh pub food . This is a very popular destination pub which gets busy at the weekends and during peak seasons , it offers all day dining and the menu consists of traditional pub food, restaurant style bistro dishes, wood fired pizzas and also has a separate private dining area. The kitchen is a good size and as Sous chef you you will be assisting in menu planning and to lead a brigade of 6 Chefs so good leadership skills are also required. Assisting to complete all necessary paperwork and ensuring the kitchen is performing financially is also a key part of this role.
Requirements:
This role would suit a very strong senior chef de partie seeking their first Sous chef role or a Sous Chef looking for a new challenge in their career. This position would be ideal for a chef who has a proven track record of working in a volume fresh food operation. Excellent knowledge of current kitchen regulations is also essential for this role.
