A luxury manor hotel with a relaxed atmosphere, and an excellent reputation is seeking a Sous Chef to join the team of chefs in the kitchen. In this role of Sous Chef you will assist the Head Chef design the dishes for the 2 AA rosette fine dining restaurant which also offers a tasting menu at the property. The hotel caters for private dining and has a number of different suits for this purpose and is also a popular venue for afternoon teas and weddings. The Head Chef has some autonomy to create their own menus with the restaurant winning awards and dining accolades for the dishes based on classic cooking but prepared with modern twists whilst letting the excellent ingredients be the star attraction. As Sous Chef you will be supporting the head chef to mentor and train the brigade of 12 chefs and will take control of the kitchen in their absence.
A very strong junior Sous or a Sous Chef who have good experience working in fresh food kitchens, ideally experience of 2 AA fine dining but this is not essential. A Chef who has a stable background and a proven track record of mentoring and training chefs.
