The Executive Chef of this well run country house hotel, located near Macclesfield, is seeking a Sous Chef who can maintain the high standard of simple fresh food menus currently offered. The hotel offers breakfast, has a brasserie style restaurant, afternoon teas, Sunday lunches and has a thriving banqueting and conferencing department The kitchen is a good size and as Sous chef you you will be assisting in menu planning and to lead a brigade of 6 Chefs so good leadership skills are also required. Assisting to complete all necessary paperwork and ensuring the kitchen is performing financially is also a key part of this role.
This role would suit a very strong senior chef de partie seeking their first Sous chef role or a Sous Chef looking for a new challenge in their career. This position would be ideal for a chef who has a proven track record of working in a fresh food operation. Excellent knowledge of current kitchen regulations is also essential for this role.
