A restaurant based at a country park located in Dumfries which has seen major re-development is seeking a Sous Chef to work closely with the Head Chef to assist with implementing high standards in the kitchen. The restaurant has well produced, seasonally focused menus that have been designed to receive accolades. As Sous Chef you will join the team of six working in the kitchen cooking for large numbers during the peak season. You will need to ensure that the chefs on each section are well organised and capable of keeping up to speed with the busy service times whilst also being able to manage the kitchen during the Head Chefs days off.
The ideal candidate for this role will have been working as a Sous Chef in a food led fresh food pub or restaurant where you were cooking award winning dishes. An ambitious chef seeking a role that can offer you progression is desired for this role. All round cooking skills in the kitchen as well as having experience of managing the paperwork and all health and safety aspects are essential for this role.
The restaurant has opened in line with Government guidelines in order to ensure all staff remain safe within the working environment.
