The owner of a busy restaurant with rooms is seeking a Sous Chef to assist the Head Chef with the running of the kitchen. The restaurant is busy all year round serving locals and visitors to the area with the dishes on the menus being created using fresh local ingredients. The property is also a popular venue for weddings and venues. As Sous Chef you will ensure the junior members of the team are prepared for service, the standard of the dishes produced are as expected and that service times run smoothly whilst also being able to assist the Head Chef with the paperwork and all health and safety management.
The successful candidate should have experience of working as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef in a fresh food kitchen It is essential that you have a working knowledge and practical application of Food Safety and Allergen systems along with a relevant qualification. It is essential that you have a proven track record of operating in similar restaurant environments and have demonstrated the ability to work well in a team.
