A Sous Chef is required to join the kitchen of a fresh food pub that is well established as a dining choice in the region. In this role you will work closely with the Head Chef and the owner of the property in order to ensure that the kitchen is running smoothly with dishes reaching the cooking standards expected consistently. This role would be an ideal first Sous Chef role for a strong Chef de Partie seeking the next step in their career in a property where you can learn basic kitchen management skills and will be given an input on the development of the menus. The pub is known for serving modern Brasserie and traditional pub meals in the restaurant as well as catering for some small functions.
Strong Chef de Parties, Junior Sous Chefs or experienced Sous Chefs would all be considered for this role. All chefs applying for the role must have experience working in busy pubs or restaurants that serve all fresh food. Good knowledge of a number of sections in the kitchen is essential for this role.
