An experienced Sous Chef is required to work at a fantastic city centre hotel located in Lancaster which is a popular dining venue with locals and visitors. The hotel operates a bistro style restaurant which is open for service throughout the day whilst also providing a market street food area. The hotel is hosts to special events, weddings and can also offer private dining options. As Sous Chef you will be expected to be capable of working across the sections in the main kitchen, looking after the restaurant dining, as well as running service in the Head Chefs absence. At the same time you will assist with the day to day running of the kitchen including paperwork, controlling the kitchen costs and assisting with the training of the junior chefs.
A talented Sous Chef who has all round cooking skills with a stable CV based in high quality, fresh food kitchens that is needed to take on this role. A confident team leader who can run the kitchen when required but also assist with the daily management of the operation is essential for this role. It is important that you are used to working in a busy, multi-outlet environment and have developed your organisational skills so that you cope well under pressure.
