The owner of a prestigious gastro pub located in Hereford is seeking a Senior Sous Chef to take on the opportunity to shine in this role and assist the Head Chef to push forward t achieve accolades. There is a bar menu and a restaurant where the menu is inspired by local flavours, using seasonal ingredients from local producers. Menus are regularly changed and there is also a tasting this gives you an opportunity to assist to put a mark on the food and be extremely creative. The kitchen of the property has a team of four chefs, in this role of Senior Sous Chef you will assist to ensure a punctual, quality service is achieved. Alongside the cooking you will be assisting in the ordering of food and equipment, paperwork and GP.
A Senior Sous chef or experienced Sous Chef who has been working in a similar fresh food restaurant environment where you were cooking all dishes from scratch using high quality, fresh ingredients. The role needs a strong Chef who has a mature approach to training in the kitchen in order to get the best out of the team. All chefs should be aware of current hygiene legislation with experience of training others in this area and ensuring it is followed at all times.
