The owner of a freehold pub located in Kent is seeking a Senior Sous Chef to take on the opportunity to shine in this role and ensure that the high standards in place are retained. The main menu at the pub changes monthly and there is also a weekly changing specials menus, this gives you an opportunity to assist to put a mark on the food and be extremely creative. The dishes are produced using seasonally fresh food sourced locally whenever possible. The kitchen of the property has a team of five chefs, in this role of Senior Sous Chef you will assist to ensure a punctual, quality service is achieved. Alongside of the cooking you will be assisting in the ordering of food and equipment, paperwork and GP.
A Senior Sous chef or experienced Sous Chef who has been working in a similar fresh food pub environment where you were cooking all dishes from scratch using high quality, fresh ingredients. The role needs a strong Chef who has a mature approach to training in the kitchen in order to get the best out of the team. All chefs should be aware of current hygiene legislation with experience of training others in this area and ensuring it is followed at all times.
