Pastry Chef ~ MT2053 Full Time Permanent

The Executive Chef of a busy hotel that has a number of dining options available to its guests is currently seeking a Pastry Chef to join the kitchen brigade of seven. In this role of Pastry Chef you will have a varied role preparing desserts, pastry items and afternoon teas for the restaurant, bar and conference/functions rooms using fresh produce. This is a very popular venue for weddings, events and conferences especially during the busy summer period. The kitchen has full autonomy to create their own menus, as a result you will be encouraged to bring your own ideas to the menu planning sessions.

Requirements:

An experienced and strong Pastry Chef with a keen interest is required to take on this role. Previous experience working in a kitchen serving multiple dining outlets where you were cooking with all fresh ingredients is essential.
