A country house hotel that has offers high quality, award winning dining in its modern British restaurant is seeking a Pastry Chef to take charge of the pastry production in the kitchen. The restaurant serves an average of 20-30 covers midweek followed by 40-50 covers at the weekend as well as offering an afternoon tea service. In this role of Pastry Chef you will also cater for the weddings and special events that take place at the property. As Pastry Chef you will have the autonomy to create your menus ensuring that they reflect the main menus and using modern cooking techniques whilst also featuring classic cooking.
A Pastry Chef who is experienced in working in kitchens accredited up to two AA Rosette level is required to take on this role. It is important that you are a creative chef capable of designing your own dishes and having a large repertoire of dishes that you can bring to the department. All chefs must be capable of training and managing the junior chefs when they support you on the pastry section.
