A private school is recruiting for a Pastry Chef de Partie to assist in the catering provision for both daytime and boarding pupils. In this role you will be working with a talented team of chefs providing breakfasts, lunches and suppers for over 700 day pupils and 150 boarders. There is a seasonally rolling menu in place consisting of dishes made from fresh produce. The position of Pastry Chef de Partie is 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year, 5 days over 7, and some weekends. The shift pattern is 6.30 am till 2.30 pm or 11 am to 7 pm.
Requirements:
A Pastry Chef de Partie who has experience of cooking desserts, pastries and breads from mainly fresh ingredients, in a busy environment. It is essential that you have an enhanced DBS and all relevant food safety and allergen training certificates. You must have good customer care skills to be able to communicate with the children and teenagers.
