This is an exciting opportunity for a driven Junior Sous Chef, working for a very popular hotel working with all fresh produce. The restaurant is 1 rosette with a fabulous reputation for serving Modern British and classical food locally sourced. As Junior Sous Chef you will be expected to assist to lead the 4/5 strong brigade alongside the senior Chefs and assist them to enable the smooth running of the kitchen. Experience in a similar environment would be advantageous along with knowledge of cooking with fresh seasonal produce. As this is a Junior Sous Chef role you will be assisting in all areas of kitchen management including paperwork, implementation of hygiene legislation, ordering and stock management.
Requirements:
An experienced passionate Junior Sous Chef with experience in a fresh food environment or a senior Chef de Partie looking to step up to the next level is required for this role. This role would suit a Chef who has a proven track record of working in a team that caters using quality fresh food. An excellent all round knowledge of the kitchen and an up to date awareness of current cooking trends is needed for this role. All chefs should have good organisational skills who is able to have the kitchen fully prepped for busy service times in order to ensure that the department runs smoothly.
