The manager of a high end, multi outlet corporate hotel is seeking a Head Chef with previous experience, who can strongly lead the team in the kitchen. The hotel, which is situated in the heart of the City of Sheffield offers a la carte dining in the restaurant, afternoon teas, lighter bites in the lounge and is also a popular venue for weddings and conferences catering for 300 seated. The hotel which has well equipped kitchens prides itself on providing good quality, seasonally changing fresh food prepared and cooked to high standards. You will be working with a brigade of 4 Chefs so good leadership skills are also required. This is an exciting role for a Head chef who wants to develop a good reputation for themselves and the hotel.
This role would suit a Sous or existing Head Chef who has previous experience at a similar venue, looking for a new challenge in their career. It is important that all chefs applying have good all round cooking skills gained from high end corporate hotels. It is also important that you have experience serving a number of different dining options including banqueting, and that you are standards driven, hands on, and can maintain a strong team.
