Head Chef ~ TP2334 Full Time Permanent

This modern British style pub is seeking a high quality Head Chef to take on this role and ensure that current high standards and excellent reputation of this 2 Rosette standard gastro pub.  The food is made with fresh ingredients that are sourced locally where possible, serving pub classics with modern styles. As Head chef you will have total autonomy on the menu and this is a fantastic opportunity to push boundaries. Alongside the menu planning and staff training you will be responsible for all the ordering, paperwork and GP. You will be responsible for managing and directing the kitchen team, ensuring that they are capable of working to the high standards in place whilst remaining calm under the pressure as well as ensuring that the department is fully prepped for service. As Head Chef you will need to be creative with ideas to regularly change the dishes on offer to keep the pub popular with visitors and regulars whilst also being aware of the profitability of the menus.

Requirements:

A Head Chef who can show longevity working in a similar fresh food pub environment. The role needs a strong team leader and should be fully aware of current hygiene legislation with experience of training others in this area and ensuring it is followed at all times. All chefs should be capable of leading a team from the front taking full control of the kitchen to ensure that the customers get the level of cooking and service that they have come to expect at the venue. Good Financial awareness and the ability to achieve a good profit margin is essential for this role.
