This is an exciting opportunity for a driven Head Chef, working for a very popular hotel working with all fresh produce. The restaurant holds a 1 AA rosette award and has a fabulous reputation with both locals and tourists. As Head Chef you will be leading the 4/5 strong brigade providing training, and organising them to enable the smooth running of the kitchen. The dishes on the menus are made using fresh, locally purchased seasonal produce and you will have autonomy on daily specials. This is an exciting opportunity for a Head Chef as the owners of the property are keen to push the standards further forward and you will be consulted to achieve this. As this is a Head Chef role you will be responsible for all areas of kitchen management including paperwork, implementation of hygiene legislation, ordering and stock management.
An experienced passionate Head Chef with experience in a fresh food environment working to a minimum 1 AA rosette standard, or a Sous Chef looking to step up to the next level is required for this role. This role would suit a Head Chef who has a proven track record of working in a team that caters using quality fresh food. Good organisational skills along with excellent all round knowledge of the kitchen and an up to date awareness of current cooking trends is needed for this role.
