An award winning pub company is seeking a head chef for a traditional village pub that has an excellent reputation for the high standard of food served. In this position of Head Chef you will have the opportunity to shine and push forward for more awards for yourself and the company. The menus at the pub feature modern British dishes, the company is very forward thinking and will offer the Head Chef the opportunity to put their own stamp on the menu and the kitchen. The company philosophy is to use local seasonal ingredients and much of the produce is grown in the vegetable garden. The stunning kitchen of the property has a team of four chefs who you will lead to ensure a punctual, quality service is provided. Alongside the food and menus you will also be responsible for all the ordering, paperwork and GP.
A Head Chef who has been working in a similar fresh food pub environment where you were cooking all dishes from scratch using high quality, fresh ingredients. The role needs a strong team leader who has a mature approach to training in the kitchen in order to get the best out of your team. All chefs should be fully aware of current hygiene legislation with experience of training others in this area and ensuring it is followed at all times.
