A privately owned small pub group is seeking a Head Chef to take charge of the kitchen of this bar with large function room. The menus at the property feature freshly cooked traditional pub style dishes served in the main restaurant as well as buffet menus, which range from lite bite canape dishes to TDH 3 course dining menus. As Head Chef you will be ensuring high standards are maintained with service times running smoothly whilst ensuring the kitchen is organised, fully health and safety compliant and all necessary paperwork is completed. As the venue is generally busy with functions the rota often allows for good working hours with shifts being 12pm – 8pm.
This role would suit a Head Chef who has previous experience at a similar venue, looking for a new challenge in their career. It is important that all chefs applying have good all round cooking skills gained from within fresh food kitchens where you were serving a number of different dining options from one kitchen. Excellent knowledge of current hygiene regulations and a good financial awareness is also essential for this role.
