A Town Hotel located in the heart of Suffolk is seeking a Head Chef to work alongside the existing Head Chef to ensure that recipes are made carefully to produce a consistent guest experience. The hotel offers breakfast for guests and locals, a restaurant that opens for lunch and evening service and a bar menu which is served all day. The bar menu consists of typical pub favorites but every dish is prepared and cooked to exacting standards as the local customer base require consistency in the standards. The main restaurant menu consists of freshly prepared and cooked Italian dishes, which change regularly so that local seasonal produce can be used. In this role of Head Chef you will be assisting in the management and training of the kitchen team of 5 chefs, ensuring that they are capable of working to the high standards in place whilst remaining calm under pressure and ensuring that the department is fully prepped for service.
The pub needs a strong, experienced Sous Chef looking to take the next step or a Head Chef who has been working in fresh food kitchens previously which have developed your organisational skills. All chefs should be passionate and understand the importance of consistency, care and most importantly be able to work alongside an existing head chef.
