In this Head Chef position you will be leading a team of up to ten chefs in the kitchen who are creating dishes for the 80 cover brasserie style restaurant and the conference and banqueting department that hosts events for 100+ covers. This a Head Chef role that will require you to be operational in the kitchen, running service times and leading your team from the front whilst also being responsible for all aspects of kitchen management. The hotel offers modern British dining with the restaurant being popular for the high standards of cooking shown at the venue with the expectation that you will be capable of creating innovative menus that tempt the residents to remain in the hotel to dine.
An experienced Head Chef who has a stable background based in fresh food properties but also has plenty of previous banqueting experience. A strong team leader who can get the most out of their team whilst continuing to develop the junior chefs so that they perform to their best is required. All chefs must have excellent admin and financial management skills with the ability to ensure that the kitchen is a profitable department without compromising standards.
