A privately owned Gastro pub with rooms is seeking a Head Chef to take control of the kitchen and push the business forward. The kitchen of the property has a team of 10 chefs, and the owners are planning to install a new kitchen as part of ongoing investment and refurbishments. The current menus are made with fresh ingredients that are sourced locally where possible and are changed to reflect the seasons. As head chef you will have autonomy on the menus for the restaurant, private dining and events. This is a busy property through out the year and is also a popular wedding venue. Alongside the menu planning and staff training you will be responsible for all the ordering, paperwork and GP.
A Head Chef who has a stable background, which includes experience at a minimum of 2AA rosette or equivalent, where you were cooking all dishes from scratch using high quality, fresh ingredients. The role needs a strong team leader who has a mature approach to training in the kitchen in order to get the best out of your team. All chefs should be fully aware of current hygiene legislation with experience of training others in this area and ensuring it is followed at all times.
