The exec Head Chef of a traditional pub restaurant that has recently been refurbished to high standards is seeking a passionate Head Chef to take on this role and ensure that current high standards and reputation are not only retained but also elevated to gastro style. The kitchen of the property has a team of enthusiastic chefs who you will lead ensuring punctual, quality service. The dishes are made using fresh seasonal ingredients that are sourced locally where possible. As Head chef you will have a strong input on the menus not only for the restaurant but also for the small number of weddings and events that take place, hence this is a fantastic opportunity to put your stamp on a property and to make it a destination pub. Alongside the menu planning and staff training you will be responsible for all the ordering, paperwork and GP.
A Head Chef who can show longevity working in a similar fresh food pub environment where you were cooking all dishes from scratch using high quality, fresh ingredients. The role needs a strong team leader who has a mature approach to training in the kitchen in order to get the best out of your team. All chefs should be fully aware of current hygiene legislation with experience of training others in this area and ensuring it is followed at all times.
